Manifesto

Six declarations

Before the noise, before the labels, before anyone told you where you fit, there was an inheritance.

The Brits Association for Africa (BAFA) exists for one reason:

To help people identify their inheritance. And define themselves.

Britain and Africa are not two separate stories. They are one living line.

We do not fit into old charity boxes. We build spaces where people know who they are, claim what is theirs, and move together.

Lived

An inheritance you can see

Every generation adds to the line. These are the moments it lives in.

Passed down

Family albums, kitchen-table stories and the names we carry. Inheritance begins at home, between generations.

Rooted in the land

Two generations, one ground. The connection between Britain and Africa is held in hands, not just history books.

Moving together

British-African life, here and now, walking forward with confidence across the city we help shape.

Connections

One living line

Britain and Africa are not two separate stories. They are one living line

The relationship between Britain and Africa lives in the stories, cultures and experiences of people and communities across generations.

The Brits Association for Africa brings those connections into focus, creating space to explore heritage and share perspectives while supporting its charitable purpose in Africa.
